UCC Ottawa will be commemorating the Ukraine Famine-Genocide on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. All Members of Parliament from across Canada have been invited.

The purpose of the event is two-fold:

• to bring to the attention of Canadian public policy makers one of the most heinous crimes of all times: the starvation of 10 million Ukrainians as a result of the Soviet government's policy of de-nationalization and collectivization, and
• to seek support from the Canadian Members of Parliament for the inclusion of the Ukrainian Holocaust in the planned Genocide Museum

The purpose of this note is to ask ALL of YOU to CALL YOUR LOCAL MPs and ask them to attend the

UKRAINIAN FAMINE-GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER23 at 7:30 pm

The program will include presentations by the Ambassador for Ukraine, Dr. Roman Serbyn and excerpts from the film "Harvest of Despair". The event is co-sponsored by the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Association, Walter Lastewka MP, Chair; Senator Raynell Andreychuk co-chair.

Please remember that the decision regarding the establishment of an INCLUSIVE Genocide Museum where the Ukrainian Famine-Genocide would be honoured is coming up. It is IMPORTANT that MPs know about the Famine and equally IMPORTANT that they know that you care about what they are doing about it.
