Doroha Chrystyu,

It was a great pleasure to learn about your prominent appointment to Deputy Editor of the Globe and Mail. I am certain that I speak on behalf of the entire Ukrainian Canadian Business and Professional Federation Executive and membership when I say how delighted we are with your new success. Undoubtedly, you welcome the concomitant challenges and will deal with them in your stride. Our heartiest congratulations and best wishes.

As you may know, the Federation, which stretches across Canada, attempts to deal with many of the key issues that touch the one million Ukrainian Canadians., We are keenly interested in the well being of our community in this country; in ensuring the representative nature of Canada throughout governments' policy frameworks and institutions; and in the strengthening of Canada Ukraine relations. We would be very pleased to meet with you to share views on some of these and other key issues of interest to you and your national paper.

I will take the liberty of contacting you later in the fall, after you have had the chance to settle in somewhat.

With warmest regards,

Oksana Bashuk Hepburn
President
