Holodomor Research Grants Competition

The Holodomor Research and Education Consortium (HREC) announces a grants competition to support research and preservation of materials related to the Holodomor.

Grants will be awarded in the range of $2000 to $5000, except in exceptional circumstances. Research must be completed by April 1, 2015.

Applications will be accepted in English, French or Ukrainian. Please send the following materials by email to hrec@ualberta.ca :

1.  c.v.  (including list of published works, if any)

2.  Proposal (approx. 2 pages), outlining purpose, methods and significance of project

3.  Budget

4. Letter of recommendation, preferably from academic supervisor or head of department.

Deadline for submission: March 15, 2014

Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the competition by April 1, 2014.

HREC is a project of the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, University of Alberta. HREC promotes research on the Holodomor and works to ensure that the man-made famine of 1932–33 in Ukraine is represented in curricula.
