2011 Adult Ukrainian Language Immersion Course (AULIC) in Sask.

The dates for this year’s AULIC are August 11th to 14th, for a four-day weekend, and August 11th to 18th for the extended session, which will be held at Trident Camp, Crystal Lake, Saskatchewan.  Crystal Lake is located 1 km west off Highway #9 and 25 km north of Canora, Saskatchewan.  AULIC’s success has been primarily a result of the quality of language instruction provided to students.  Other important aspects of the program are the time allocated for recreational and cultural activities such as singing Ukrainian traditional and contemporary songs, watching Ukrainian videos, bread making and pysanky writing.  Instructors selected for the camp are skilled in teaching the language and in sharing Ukraine’s heritage and culture.  Instructors for 2011 are:

Olena currently teaches in the Ukrainian Language program at Miller High School in Regina and is taking additional Education classes at the University of Regina.
