Taras Capar, President of the Board of Directors, Sts. Peter and Paul Residence writes:  “On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Search Committee of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Residence, it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Taras Rohatyn as our new Executive Director, effective November 4, 2013.

Taras received his Honours B.A. from Laurentian University and his Honours degree in Business Administration -  Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor.

Initially employed in the financial sector, he went on to become the Executive Director of the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities of Windsor/Essex, a position he held from 1986 until 1997.  From 1997 to 2006, he served as the Regional Operations Director for the Windsor District of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (formerly the WCB), and in 2007, he became the inaugural President of the Alzheimer’s Foundation for Caregiving in Canada, Inc.

From 2011 to 2013 Taras was appointed as the Executive Director of the North York Family Health Team, a partnership of 40 health care professionals and 70 family doctors in the North York Region who provide primary care services to approximately 64,000 patients.

Taras has and continues to be actively involved in our Ukrainian communities in Sudbury, Windsor and Oshawa/Durham.  He looks forward to meeting and working with the staff, residents and the Board of Directors of Sts. Peter and Paul to enhance our Residence.”
