Andriy Hladyshevsky Awarded


L. to R.: Andriy Hladyshevsky, President of Shevchenko Foundation and Paul Grod, President of Ukrainian Canadian CongressThe Ukrainian Canadian Foundation of Taras Shevchenko is very proud to announce that Board President Andriy Hladyshevsky, QC, was awarded the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for his many years of outstanding work in the community. The Medal was presented by Ukrainian Canadian Congress President Paul Grod at a reception held on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 in Edmonton.

The Shevchenko Foundation’s President is a lawyer and partner with the global law firm Dentons, and his contributions to the community are wide ranging. He is a founding director of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, and was President of both the Professional Business Club of Edmonton and Dnipro Ensemble of Edmonton. Mr. Hladyshevsky is a tireless worker, and is extremely proud of his Ukrainian heritage and his Canadian community involvement as a whole. He volunteers his time in many organizations, provides advice and finds time to sing in two choirs.

Andriy has held the position of President of the Shevchenko Foundation for the many years, developing it into one of the top philanthropic organizations in Canada. The Foundation is very fortunate to have someone of his talent and commitment in this role.
