26th Conference on Ukrainian Subjects

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The Conference on Ukrainian Subjects, organized by the Ukrainian Research Program at the University of Illinois, will be held within the framework of the Summer Research Laboratory on Russia and East European Countries.

The conference main theme is “Contemporary Ukraine: Challenges and Perspectives” and its major sessions will be devoted to such topics as:

Ukraine and Russia

Ukraine and the European Union

Ukraine and North America

• Contemporary Development of the Ukrainian Diaspora

The Conference Program Committee is comprised of Leonid Rudnytzky (LaSalle University), Chair and members Volodymyr Chumachenko (Illinois), Assya Humesky (Michigan), Taras Hunczak (Rutgers), Jaroslav Rozumnyj (Manitoba), and Christina Sochocky.
The Organizing Committee includes members of the Executive Committee of the Foundation for the Advancement of Ukrainian Studies at the
University of Illinois, Raisa Bratkiv, Chair and John Derkach, Vera Eliashevsky, Alex Konoval, Ola Kusyk.

The conference proceedings are open to the public. Only invited persons will present papers with comments and will be delivered in English and Ukrainian.
